POSITION SUMMARY

Wireless Network Engineers at Skyline are exposed to a wide range of technologies while implementing and supporting enterprise environments. We are looking for motivated self-starters that love technology and want to build innovative solutions that truly make a difference in helping our customers accomplish their primary missions. They are expected to be creative problem solvers and work interdependently with the rest of the team, following projects from concept to implementation and support, highlighting the network’s primary purpose to connect people and drive innovation. Customer service, partnerships, and relationships are a large focus at Skyline. Interacting with customers and explaining issues and solutions in ways that they can understand and interpreting their pain points to drive design decisions is paramount to the success of a Skyline engineer.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage external customer network infrastructure life cycle

  • Support day-to-day operational needs for customer infrastructure

  • Field dispatches for emergency response and service restoration

  • Facilitate technical support case escalation and resolution

  • Customer documentation updates and management

  • Wireless Site Surveys and Scope creation

  • Scope and create change requests for non-standard work

  • Support Implementation of projects

  • Seek to identify new opportunities to enhance customer infrastructure in ways that demonstrate true value to the customers needs

  • Develop templates for team/customer improvement

  • Perform on-call rotation support for assigned customers

  • Proactively seek to identify, address, and resolve issues that can result in operational impact or failure

  • Evaluate performance of system and supporting processes

  • Prioritization, Planning, and Scheduling

  • Attend the bi-weekly team meeting to ensure that work is laid out and setup for proper execution

  • Work with Project Managers to ensure that deadlines and customer expectations are being met

 

Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or engineering related field
  • JNCIA or CCNA or equivalent required
  • JNCIP or CCNP or equivalent preferred
  • Aruba certifications are a plus
  • Experience with Wireless Networking: Aruba or Cisco wireless preferred
  • Experience with Enterprise or Service Provider Networking
  • Understanding of Enterprise networking
  • Understanding of Service Provider networking
  • Technical writing experience such as: project scoping and creation, implementation plans, and/or network documentation
