Baltimore, MD – September 22, 2020 – Skyline Technology Solutions, a provider of managed IT solutions and public safety interoperability services, today announced that the company has successfully completed the SOC 2 Type 2 compliance examination. The SOC 2 Type 2 compliance examination is based on the Trust Services Criteria of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). A successful SOC 2 Type 2 examination is often a requirement for security-conscious customers outsourcing services.
A SOC 2 attestation report examines controls at a service organization related to the security, availability, and processing integrity of a system, or the confidentiality and privacy of the information processed for the user entities. Achieving a successful SOC 2 Type 2 attestation report demonstrates a company’s ability to implement critical security policies and practices and prove compliance over a period of time.
To achieve this compliance, Skyline’s Security Operations Center and supporting business operations have spent the past year and a half making improvements to its IT processes and security as part of a SOC 2 initiative. Skyline’s SOC 2 report covers several of the company’s core services: Managed IT services, Public Safety Video Interoperability as well as Physical Security and Access Control solutions.
“Successfully achieving the SOC 2 Type 2 attestation report is part of our organization’s ongoing commitment to providing highly secure and reliable solutions for our customers’ mission critical public safety environments” said Brian Holsonbake, CEO at Skyline Technology Solutions.
