Core Responsibilities:

• Installation and Service                                                                               
  • Ability to work independently with minimal technical assistance
  • Successfully delegate tasks and responsibilities to other team members
  • Installation, Programming, and Testing of CCTV systems
    • Interior and exterior camera installations
    • Ability to install conduit
    • Aim and focus
  • Assist Commissioning Technician with equipment setup on bench, training, and RMA’s
  • Installation, Programming, and Testing of Access Control systems
    • Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics.
    • Proficient in use of electrical multimeter
    • Understanding of system architectures for multiple platforms
    • Technical understanding of relay logic
    • Experienced with installation and configurations of various locksets (Strikes, maglocks, IP / PoE locksets, Wifi, Bluetooth. Etc.)
  • Installation, Termination, and Testing of Fiber, Cat5e, Cat6, and Access Control cabling
  • Basic understanding of networks and computer systems
  • Tests, adjusts, maintains, and troubleshoot structure cabling systems.
  • Work with basic, specialized, and powered hand tools
  • Remove and rearrange equipment at on-site locations
  • Responsible for vehicle maintenance and company assigned equipment
  • Ensure optimized min/max levels of stock material on assigned company vehicle
• Project Management                                                                                   
  • Coordinate and assist in the procurement of materials, supplies, and services as needed
  • Determine and implement changes in design and installation plans when necessary
  • Communicate project schedule or material changes to the Project Manager
  • Perform walkthroughs with Customers, Relationship Managers, and Project Managers prior to installation to ensure there are shared expectations.
• Documentation and Deliverables                                                              
  • Provide daily project updates to the assign Project Manager detailing the work completed and next steps
  • Accurately track the teams daily time and activities related to the project
  • Capture project deliverables including pictures, updating project drawings and diagrams, and compiling site notes
  • Close out project with the Project Manager/Customer to ensure project completion
• Travel                                                                                                             
  • Drive to and from jobsites
  • Deliver equipment to customers and/or jobsites

Education and Experience Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in the Low Voltage industry
• 3+ years of experience in CCTV Systems
• 3+ years of experience in Access Control Systems
• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of design and industry standards including the ability to read drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• Current Maryland driver’s license 
• MSP Security License (preferred)
• DCJS Security License (preferred)
