**This position requires some onsite work, residency in the DMV area required**

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage external customer network infrastructure life cycle
    • Support day-to-day operational needs for customer infrastructure
      • Field dispatches for emergency response and service restoration
      • Facilitate technical support case escalation and resolution
      • Customer documentation updates and management
    • Scope work and create change requests for non-standard work
    • Support Implementation of projects
    • Seek to identify new opportunities to enhance customer infrastructure in ways that demonstrate true value to the customers needs
    • Develop templates for team/customer improvement
    • Perform on-call rotation support for assigned customers
    • Proactively seek to identify, address, and resolve issues that can result in operational impact or failure
    • Evaluate performance of system and supporting processes
  • Prioritization, Planning, and Scheduling
    • Attend the bi-weekly team meeting to ensure that work is laid out and setup for proper execution
    • Work with Project Managers to ensure that deadlines and customer expectations are being met
  • Personal Growth and Development
    • Maintain/acquire technical industry knowledge and certifications
    • Mentor team members as appropriate
    • Model strategic, continuous learning mindset
    • Facilitate technical interviews for new technical team members as appropriate
    • Expanded skillset in soft skills, leadership, and management through continual personal development

 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or engineering related field
  • Experience working within ITIL framework
  • Project management/technical leadership
  • 7-9 years experience in Information Technology
  • JNCIA preferred or CCNA
  • JNCIP preferred or CCNP
