Core Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Data Engineering
- Input data and maintain OSPInsight database
- Assist in design/engineering for Outside and Inside Plant fiber network.
- Create and update as-built construction fiber optic plans utilizing AutoCAD
- Translate redline as-built plans to CAD/GIS
- Create splicing schematics, fiber allocation and term panel assignments
- Prepare permits and reports for state government agencies
- Translate CAD drawings and multiple GIS platforms
- Gather and input GPS location data for fiber network assets
- Analyze and process test results from fiber testing crews
Infrastructure / Engineering support
- As a subject matter expert answer questions concerning the location and availability of fiber assets
- Provide troubleshooting support to field crews during fiber outages or task completion
- Assist with fiber testing when normal crew is unavailable.
- Prepare NOC notifications and reports of customer impact
- Produce standard prints and plots for project teams
- Provided feedback
Quality control
- Document construction as-built redlines as received from Project Manager
- Document construction as-built CAD plans as completed
- Verify CAD projects are being performed to Skylines CAD standards
- Verify work is being performed to customer specifications
- Provide feedback to manger as challenges occur
Internal Task Management and support
- Support internal management and corporate development tasks
Education and Experience Requirements
- 0-2 years experience in outside plant construction
- 2 years experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- 2years experience with Computer Aided Design software
- High School Diploma, Bachelors degree preferred
